ROXAS City – The Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital – Outpatient Molecular Laboratory here was given a 100-percent assessment rating in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) testing.
The “External Quality Assessment on SARS-COV 2 Detection by Real Time PCR” was conducted by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in May.
The laboratory achieved a final score of 10/10.
The test procedures performed and rated were the following:
* Nucleic Acid Extraction
* PCR Mastermix Preparation
* Real Tine reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test (RT-PCR)
* Interpretation of RT-PCR results
* RT-PCR results reporting
“Gina panginbulahanan sang RMPH ang personnel kag staff sang Molecular Laboratory sa nangin madinalag-un nga resulta sang quality assessment,” the provincial hospital management stated in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
It added: “Ini isa lamang sa mga indikasyon nga sarang makahatag sang dekalidad nga serbisyo kag masaligan nga resulta sang RT-PCR testing ang RMPH Molecular Laboratory.” /PN
