ROXAS City – The city government will be honoring women here for acts of heroism during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Yesterday, International Women’s Day, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas launched the GADtimpala Awards “Bida si Juana sa Panahon ng Corona”.
The city government would be accepting nominations.
Dadivas said joining this recognition scheme were Councilor Cora Balgos-Tiangco, Sangguniang Panlungsod chairperson of the Committee on Women, Family and Senior Citizens; and Board Member Thea Faith Reyes, Sangguniang Panlalawigan chairperson, Committee on Women.
Roxas City is celebrating March as Women’s Month with the theme, “We Make Change Work for Women; Juana Laban sa Pandemya, Kaya!”/PN
