ROXAS City – This city is one of the local governments in the Visayas to benefit from the housing program of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
Over the weekend, DHSUD executives led by Secretary Jose Rizalino “Jerry” L. Acuzar, undersecretaries Avelino Tolentino, Gary de Guzman and Jose Ramon Aliling, and Assistant Secretary Sharon Paquiz went on a two-day swing in key cities in the Visayas for the said program.
Acuzar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with local chief executives of several cities and provinces, including Roxas City’s Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
The mayor said a proposed Paglaum Rise 5-storey Vertical Housing Development will be constructed in Barangay 5 here.
“Kita nagalaum nga sa palaabuton ini nga proyekto magahatag solusyon sa sitwasyon sang aton mga informal settlers nga nagapuyo sa sentro sang syudad,” Dadivas said.
Local officials including city councilors Bordoy Viterbo and Pip Acepcion also joined Dadivas at the MOU signing, with the support of Capiz’s Vice Governor James Magbanua and Board Member Thea Faith Reyes./PN
