NOW it can be said: Ryan Bang once tried, but failed, to romantically pursue Yeng Constantino – only months before the pop-rock singer became official with her now-husband Yan Asuncion.
The topic came up Saturday during the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” segment of “It’s Showtime,” after a contestant shared her original composition about being “friendzoned.”
Vice Ganda, whom Bang personally regards as his “mother,” casually mentioned the little-known history between the South Korean host and Constantino.
“Ryan, listen!” Vice Ganda said, referring to the contestant’s song. “Si Yeng Constantino, pumapalakpak! Kung hindi niyo naaalala, si Yeng ay isa sa mga nag-friendzone kay Ryan Bang!”
The candid revelation proved to be an awkward moment for Bang and Constantino, who were on opposite ends of the stage as the “gong-bassador” and one of the judges, respectively.
Bang and Constantino, both visibly embarrassed, then recalled the time when they attended church together, and how they established that the courtship wouldn’t go further. (ABS-CBN News)
