BACOLOD City – Four men – one of them accused of frustrated murder and the three others of robbery – were arrested in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Sagay City police head Chief Inspector Roberto Mansueto Jr. identified them as the 23-year-old Victor Geronimo of Barangay Vito, Sagay City and Barangay Malubon, Sagay City residents Joseph Pineda, 45, Lino Balayo, 25, and Antonio Morales, 60.
They were all arrested on Sunday.
Geronimo faces a frustrated murder charge. He was nabbed in Purok Iba, Barangay Bonifacio, Sagay City.
His apprehension was conducted on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Raymund Joseph Javier of the Regional Trial Court Branch 60 in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental issued on June 20, 2016.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for Geronimo’s temporary liberty.
Pineda, Balayo and Morales, on the other hand, were charged with robbery.
Police caught them on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Reginald Fuentebella of the Regional Trial Court Branch 73 in Sagay City issued on June 21, 2018.
The court recommended a bail bond worth P60,000 for each of the suspects’ temporary liberty.
Geronimo, Pineda, Balayo, and Morales were all detained in the lockup cell of the Sagay City police station./PN
