BACOLOD City – In Sagay City, an inmate attempted to end his life.
On Saturday, Michael Gatchalian was rescued by his fellow inmates. He was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Gatchalian told police authorities that he was depressed after his live-in partner failed to visit him.
Meanwhile, a man was found dead inside his room around 9 a.m. on Sunday in Sitio Naga, Barangay Binicuil, Kabankalan City.
Freddie Flora Perido, 33, used a rope to hang himself, Superintendent Rhea Santos said.
According to the victim’s cousin, Perido had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend the night before.
No foul play was found by the police on his death./PN
