Sagay local faces rap for violence vs women, children

BACOLOD City – A man accused of violating Republic Act 9262, or The Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, was nabbed in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Police served the 41-year-old Jessie Magsucang with an arrest warrant at his residence in Barangay Vito on Tuesday.

Judge Bonifacio Ong of the Regional Trial Court Branch 24 in Isabela City, Basilan province issued the warrant against Magsucang on June 27, 2017.

Magsucang was detained at the Sagay City police station lockup facility.

The court recommended a P24,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
