Sagay man nabbed with ‘shabu’ at checkpoint

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu was confiscated from a man at a police checkpoint in Barangay Paraiso, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified him as 19-year-old Jerald Ti-in of Barangay Old Poblacion, Sagay City.

Ti-in was on board a motorcycle when flagged down by the police around 10:40 a.m. on Nov. 18.

Recovered from his possession was a sachet of the prohibited substance worth P2,550.

His motorcycle was impounded, too.

Detained in the lockup cell of the Sagay City police station, the suspect faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
