BACOLOD City – Charged with 28 counts of rape, Sagay City, Negros Occidental’s No. 11 fugitive was arrested in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, a police report showed.
Joint elements of the Sagay City police station and the Coast Guard Intelligence Unit served the warrant of arrest to 44-year-old Ruel Canlas of Barangay Poblacion 2, Sagay City around 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 10.
Judge Reginald Fuentebella of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 73 denied bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
