ILOILO City – University of San Agustin emerged as champions in the ILOPRISAA Meet 2019 secondary boys 3×3 basketball on Friday at the University of San Agustin Gym here.
SanAg’s Clarito Agapito, JM De Los Santos, Coolen Sayco, and John Vicencio notched the crown after defeating Hua Siong’s Iceleigh Nillos, Glaidimer Sapio, Josephus Ubamos’ and Kert Zabal in the finals, 17-14.
On their way to the championship round, SanAg defeated Philippine American Progress School, Inc. (PAPSI), 20-7, while the Hua Siong ousted Central Philippine University Golden Lions, 11-7.
The Golden Lions team of Kevin Laloy, Guian Nava, Nestor Polines. and Rainne Polines salvaged a bronze medal finish after defeating PAPSI in the battle-for-third place game, 13-10.
In secondary boys football, Central Philippine University Golden Lions and Ateneo de Iloilo set up a titular showdown after disposing their semifinals foes on Friday afternoon.
The Golden Lions reached the gold medal round following a 5-0 victory over PAREF-Westbridge, while Ateneo de Iloilo ousted University of San Agustin, 1-0./PN
