BACOLOD City – He was found dead floating in a river in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, police said.
The 44-year-old resident George Serano was believed to have drowned, according to Superintendent D’ Artagnan Katalbas Jr., head of the San Carlos City police.
Serano was fished out of the Baticulan River around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. He was last seen on July 24 during the barangay fiesta, his wife told the police.
Initial investigation showed that Serano was drunk when he fell in the river.
Serano’s body was brought to the St. Francis Funeral Homes for a post-mortem examination./PN
