SAN JOSE, Antique – Police arrested three persons in an anti-illegal cockfighting operation in Barangay Madrangca here on April 17.
Around 8:30 p.m., the San Jose police station received information from an asset about an ongoing unsanctioned cockfighting in the barangay.
Cops verified the information and caught the following suspects:
* Egbert Del Rosario
* Felmar Gorollo
* Mary Grace Gorollo
Policemen also recovered the following:
* nine live fighting cocks
* four dead fighting cocks
* three gaffs
Further recovered was P370 from Del Rosario, police said.
The suspects were brought to the San Jose police station. Police said the station would be filing a complaint for violation of Presidential Decree 449 that regulates cockfighting./PN
