SAN JOSE, Antique – In line with the bid of Antique to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 outbreak, two persons were arrested for violating curfew hours in Barangay 7.
Police identified them as Pardner Indencio of Barangay 4 and Ryan Seacor of Barangay Atabay. They were caught riding a motorcycle around 11 p.m. on March 20.
According to Major Benjo Clarite, Officer-in-Charge Chief of San Jose municipal police station, Indencio and Atabay were freed after the curfew hours ended at 5 a.m. the next day.
Clarite, however, added that they will be pressed with charges for violating RA 151, or the ‘resistance and disobedience to a person in authority.’ If they are found guilty, they will be penalized to up to P100,000 and will be imprisoned for not more than six months.
The Police chief ordered his personnel and all village officials in this capital town not to negotiate with violators but to arrest them immediately.
“Wala na damo istorya. Dakpon sila dayon,”Clarite said.
Indencio and Seacor where the first persons arrested in this capital town since the curfew started./PN
