San Jose woman collared for drugs

ANTIQUE – A woman was arrested in a recent anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay 4, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.

The operation’s subject was alias “May-May,” 31, single, and a resident of the said town.

According to the San Jose de Buenavista municipal police, a poseur buyer was able to purchase P6,500 worth of suspected shabu from “May-May” around 5:22 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.

Aside from the buy-bust item, she also yielded more or less six grams of suspected shabu worth P40,800 during a search.

The operation was carried out through collaborative efforts between the San Jose de Buenavista Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the Antique Police Provincial Office – Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.

“We are still relentless in combating illegal drug activities. Let us work hand in hand for the brighter future of the San Josenhons,” said Major Geremy Ian R. Magbanua, acting chief of police of San Jose de Buenavista MPS.

The arrested person is held in custody of the San Jose de Buenavista MPS and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002./PN
