San Miguel Corp. extends hand to Antique, Aklan towns

SAN Miguel Corporation, one of the country’s biggest names in business industry, continues to share its blessings to the people in the community through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

On April 29, San Miguel Corporation reached the towns of Libertad, Antique and Buruanga, Aklan to donate medical equipment to the towns respective rural health units (RHUs).

Personally received by Mayor Norberto Raymundo of Libertad, Antique and Mayor Quezon Labindao of Buruanga, Aklan, the equipment included delivery tables, suctions, nebulizers, blood pressure apparatuses, stethoscopes, electrocardiogram devices, defibrillators, digital thermometers, film processors and wheelchairs are expected to benefit the residents.

The mayors expressed their gratitude to San Miguel Corporation for choosing them as beneficiaries of their CSR projects. Both of them said the donations will be of great help to their towns as these will make medical services closer and accessible to the people.

Aside from the medical equipment, San Miguel Corporation also brought some of the players of their basketball team, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel to make the event extra special. Popular basketball players namely, Lewis Alfred Tenorio, Anthony Helterbrand, and Mark Caguioa gamely posed with their fans in a meet and greet event during the turn-over ceremony.

Prior to the turn-over of donations to Libertad, Antique and Buruanga, Aklan, San Miguel Corporation also donated medical equipment to the local government unit of Malay, Aklan, still part of its CSR project in providing better and easy access of health services to the people.

With this, San Miguel Corporation continues to prove that it is a company concerned to the community. As it reaps success in the business industry, it gives back to the people to create a better./PN
