AFTER kicking off the Sarah G X Bamboo tour in late September, the concert’s production company, Viva Live, Inc. announced on Sept. 29 through their Instagram account that the Pampanga leg of the tour scheduled for Oct. 1 at the SMX Convention Center was going to be postponed to Oct. 29 instead.
“Unfortunately, our Popstar Royalty needs to rest due to an unexpected medical condition. Her health is now out top priority,” read part of the post.
However, it did not give any additional details regarding Sarah’s current condition.
Viva also assured existing ticket holders that their purchase will still be valid and honored during the show’s new schedule later in October.
“We ask for everyone’s understanding and support for the fast recovery of Sarah Geronimo. Thank you and Sarah is excited to perform for all of her Kapangpangan fans soon,” they wrote.
In a later post, it also assured fans that Sarah and Bamboo will still push through with their Oct. 13 show in Cebu:
“TO ALL CEBUANO FANS OF SARAH G AND BAMBOO‼ See you on October 13 at IEC Convention Center (IC3) at 8PM!”
Sarah and Bamboo first announced the dates of their local tour earlier this month, kicking it off on Sept. 22 in Davao followed by a Sept. 29 performance in Manila. The talented artists also collaborated on a recent single called “Treading Water” which made it to the top of the charts in two categories on iTunes Philippines.
The two also performed together during the “Sarah G x Bamboo” concert held at the Araneta Coliseum on July 7. Concert organizer G Productions dubbed the event as “this year’s biggest concert collab.”
Sarah also performed in another concert which celebrated her 20th year in the entertainment industry. (PUSH)
