SARAH Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez continue to share parenting duties but are not on speaking terms.
While not directly confirming their separation, Lahbati revealed her co-parenting setup with Gutierrez in an interview with entertainment reporter MJ Marfori for TV5’s “Frontline Pilipinas.”
“It’s not easy on any child but I’m here for them and they’re better,” Lahbati said.
Asked if they are co-parenting, the actress said: “Yeah, yeah, yeah.”
Gutierrez and Lahbati have two children: Zion, who is turning 11 in April; and five-year-old Kai.
“Well, of course, it’s not ideal for the children – let’s go back to the kids. But that’s life and that’ll be fine,” added Lahbati.
When it comes to her relationship with Gutierrez, Lahbati admitted that they are not on speaking terms.
She stressed, however, that as parents, their priority now is their children.
“We’re good at parenting and we have… you know we are there for the kids. That’s all I’m gonna say,” she said.
In the interview, Lahbati also said that she is not affected by bashers and negative comments.
“We have to think, take things lightly ‘di ba or else puputi buhok natin. And hindi tayo magiging happy. So natutuwa ako sa lahat ng mga tumatawag sa akin ng Patron Saint of Waldas, as in natatawa ako. Every day may comment about it, so sinakyan ko ng konti,” the actress said.
Lahbati added that she is actually good at managing finances.
