BACOLOD City – The cashier’s office of the Central Philippine State University in Barangay Camingawan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental had been robbed.
Cash amounting to P138,849 were carted away from the office around 11:56 a.m. on Tuesday, a police report showed.
Police have yet to identify three suspects in the robbery.
The school’s closed circuit camera television footage showed the culprits gained entry by destroying the door knob of the office.
They then forcibly opened the cash vaults using assorted metal tubes, took the cash and fled.
It was the 46-year-old Maria Socorro Llamas who reported the incident to the Kabankalan City police station.
A team led by Senior Police Officer 1 Reynan Serfino was still investigating./PN
