Filipino families looking for a unique marine adventure can now experience one of the newest marine life attractions in Southeast Asia – SEA LIFE Malaysia at the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
The highly anticipated LEGO-themed marine sanctuary is expected to draw in both local and international tourists and help further support “Visit Johor Year 2020.”
Officiated by Yang Berhormat Liow Cai Tung, Johor Executive Committee Chairman for Tourism, Women, Family and Community Development, SEA LIFE Malaysia adds to the growing number of vibrant tourist hotspots in the state while reinforcing LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort as Malaysia’s top family-friendly holiday destination.
“We are thrilled that SEA LIFE Malaysia is now another point of interest that will attract more visitors to the state. The location of SEA LIFE Malaysia is ideal in attracting tourists from different countries such as the Philippines, especially since there are available direct flights to and from both countries daily. We are confident that LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort will significantly contribute to Johor’s target of drawing in more than 17.4 million tourists to the state next year,” said Yang Berhormat Liow Cai Tung.
With more than 13,000 marine life from 120 species and 11 different habitat zones, this double-storey LEGO-themed aquarium promises a fun day out for the entire family. Among the marine life now housed across 25 tanks are stingrays, zebra sharks, blacktip reef sharks, seahorses, jellyfish and more.
Kurt Stocks, general manager at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, shared that with a theme park, water park, hotel and a brand-new 2,123-square-meter indoor aquarium, LEGOLANDMalaysia Resort is well-positioned as Malaysia’s ultimate family-friendly resort destination.
“SEA LIFE Malaysia will present families an up-close marine experience through magical storytelling, interactive displays and a hands-on encounter at the Rock Pool zone. As visitors journey through the aquarium, we will also engage and inspire them to learn, love, protect and care for the ocean,” Stocks added.
SEA LIFE Malaysia also features special habitat zones such as the Malaysian Rainforest, Stingray Bay and the fascinating Ocean Tunnel that offers a 180-degree view of the underwater world. Another amazing spectacle at SEA LIFE Malaysia is the Ocean Cave where visitors can take a magical dive and watch marine life up-close through a concave glass.
A wide variety of fun-filled activities for families to enjoy
Aside from SEA LIFE Malaysia, families who are visiting LEGOLAND Malaysia can also enjoy other exclusive attractions such as The Great LEGO Race VR Coaster – the only virtual reality roller coaster in Malaysia. Children who love NINJAGO will surely delight in LEGOLAND Malaysia’s action-packed, interactive NINJAGOadventure where they can become Masters of Spinjitzu and have their ninja skills tested.
After a fun, exhilarating day at the theme park and water park, families can relax at LEGOLAND Hotel’s wide variety of themed rooms and suites. Guests who are not ready to snooze yet can go and enjoy the activities and performances at the hotel such as dance parades and speed building challenges.
