ILOILO City – Police arrested a security guard and a companion for selling prohibited drugs.
Clark Quinoviva, 35, and the 18-year-old John Paul Loja were detained at the police station in Pototan, Iloilo.
They sold to an undercover officer a sachet of shabu for P1,200 at 9 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Amamaros, Pototan, police said.
They yielded 10 more plastic packs of the same substance.
Police said they placed the two under surveillance for more than a week prior to the operation after learning from tipsters that Quinoviva was allegedly peddling illegal drugs.
Quinoviva was a security guard detailed at the Jay Rice Mill in Barangay Nanga, Pototan while Loja – allegedly one of his buyers – lived in Barangay Rumbang, Pototan, a police report showed.
They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
