CAPIZ – A 38-year-old man was shot dead in Sito Caraman, Barangay Lawaan, Dumarao town. The suspect was his younger brother.
The victim was Joe-Ar Vargas Dela Cruz, a farmer.
His younger brother, 29-year-old Soren, was a security guard and resident of Barangay Bungsuan, also in Dumarao.
The suspect was preparing to go to work when his drunk older brother came over, according to the Dumarao police station, citing its initial investigation.
A heated argument ensued, with Joe-Ar allegedly soon hammering his younger brother’s motorcycle, and ended up being shot.
A wounded Joe-Ar died while being rushed to the Dumarao Medicare Hospital.
Soren fled after the shooting, police said./PN
