Senate to cite Metrobank outstanding teachers

MANILA — The Senate will recognize this year’s Outstanding Teachers of the Metrobank Foundation.

It will present them with resolutions lauding them for their accomplishment when they visit the Senate on Sept. 1.

Two of the Outstanding Teachers were Ilonggos: Dr. Resurreccion Sadaba of University of the Philippines–Visayas in Miag-ao, Iloilo, and Dr. Jesus Insilada of Alcarde Gustilo Memorial National High School in Calinog, Iloilo.

Awardees under the primary schools category were Anna Bella Abellara of Naga Central School I, Sharon Rose Puyo of Cabadbaran South Central Elementary School SPED Center, Dr. Enerio Ebisa of Dona Juana Actub Luch Memorial Central School, and Dr. Allan Moore Cabrillas of San Jose West Central School.

Aside from Insilada, Dr. Juanito Merle of Talipan National High School, Dr. Matrose Galarion of Angeles City National High School, and Dr. Noel Ibis of Vinzons Pilot High School also won under the secondary schools category.

Under higher education, Dr. Teodoro Balangcod of University of the Philippines–Baguio was cited along with Sadaba.

They will be given a gold medal, a trophy and a cash prize of P500,000 each during an awarding ceremony on Sept. 5./PN
