BACOLOD City – A 66-year-old man is being accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
The police declined to identify both the complainant and the accused.
Police Lieutenant Portia Nillosan, head of the Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the girl complained of having been raped multiple times since 2021, with the latest taking place just this Nov. 8.
On Tuesday, the man invited the girl to have lunch in his house. It was there where the most recent assault took place, the girl told the police.
The mother luckily found her daughter inside the suspect’s house. They sought the help of the police.
Nillosan said the suspect is currently detained at the Police Station 8, and the investigation is still ongoing.
The victim will undergo a medical examination prior to the filing of rape charges against the suspect./PN
