Bacolod City – A senior citizen was shot dead in Barangay Mina-utok, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
The 62-year-old resident Amado Sabanal died of gunshot wound on the forehead, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspects as 22-year-old Macky Tapang, 35-year-old Johnny Patok and their companion who was only identified as certain “23-year-old Gallego.”
According to police investigators, one of the suspects shot Sabanal on the forehead using a .45-caliber pistol around 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 15.
Sabanal was rushed to the Bato District Hospital in Sagay City, Negros Occidental where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Police officers of the Calatrava municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against tsh suspects, who fled after the incident./PN
