BACOLOD City – A senior citizen was stabbed dead in Barangay Talacdan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The 63-year-old Alberto Alvior died of a stab wound on the back, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 40-year-old resident Rey Boy Hegania.
According to police investigators, Hegania and a certain “Gaga” were having an altercation when Alvior tried to pacify them on Sunday.
Hegania allegedly stabbed Alvior using a bladed weapon.
It was not immediately established what the motive was.
Officers of the Cauayan municipal police station were conducting a manhunt operation against Hegania, who fled after the incident./PN
