ILOILO – A 20-year-old senior high school student was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Imbang, Passi City here on Monday, April 7, raising alarm over the involvement of youth in the illegal drug trade.
The suspect, identified by authorities as alias “Ron” from the city’s Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, was caught with six plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams and valued at around P102,000.
Also recovered was P1,600 in buy-bust money.
According to police, the student confessed to using and selling illegal drugs.
He is now in the custody of the Passi City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
