ILOILO – A 72-year-old man, known locally as “Oplok” from Barangay Cari Mayor, Leganes, was discovered dead in an abandoned house in Barangay Bacay, Dumangas yesterday morning. He had a stab wound to the chest.
The prime suspect in the incident is his 60-year-old drinking companion, “Martial” from Anilao town. He is currently in custody at the Dumangas police station.
Both men were temporarily living in Barangay Bacay and were employed at a fish pen. According to Master Sergeant Ramon Baylon of the Dumangas police, the two, along with a couple of others, had been drinking the previous night./PN
