ROXAS City – Several barangays in the towns of Sapian and Mambusao in Capiz province were submerged in floodwater following heavy rains on Tuesday night.
The flooded barangays in Sapian were Dapdapan, Majanlud, Poblacion, Maninang and Bilao, data from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) showed.
Two families from Barangay Poblacion were evacuated to a safer place, according to MDRRMO head Almira Cordova.
As of this writing, the flood in the said barangays already receded.
Meanwhile, in Mambusao town the flooded barangays were Tumalalob, Bating, Balat-an, and Najus-an./PN
