ILOILO City – Charged with sexually abusing a child, a resident of Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao district was arrested on Monday.
Romeo Bayalas was detained at the Iloilo City District Jail Male Dormitory in Jaro district, a police report showed.
The 48-year-old native of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental was accused of violating Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The bail bond has been set at P200,000.
Mandurriao police station officers served Bayalas a warrant of arrest at around 10 a.m., the police report stated./PN
