BACOLOD City – Police arrested a man in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Salvacion, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
Nine sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P28,000 were confiscated from Geovani Hechanova, 56, of Barangay Abo-Abu, Murcia, a police report showed.
Hechanova allegedly sold a sachet of the prohibited substance to a poseur-buyer for P1,860.
Operatives of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit and the Murcia police force staged the entrapment operation that lead to Hechanova’s arrest around 9 a.m. on Nov. 20.
The suspect was detained and charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
