ILOILO – A beautician was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Brgy. San Jose, Dingle town around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
Suspect Noreen Baldiviezo, 43 years old, and a resident of Barangay San Jose Ward, Pototan, was arrested after handing over a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer in exchange for P1,400.
Authorities suspected Baldiviezo to be the supplier of shabu to drug addicts in the municipality.
Elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6 and Dingle Municipal Police Station (MPS) further recovered more than three grams of suspected shabu from Baldiviezo, with a standard drug price of P20,400.
According to Police Lieutenant Aileen Lacrite, police chief of Dingle, they have been monitoring Baldiviezo for quite some time.
Charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022) will be filed by the Dingle police against the suspect./PN
