ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) apprehended six drug suspects and confiscated approximately 294 grams of shabu valued at an estimated P2 million during a single day of operations across Western Visayas.

Between the morning of April 4 and April 5, police officers managed to seize shabu worth a total of P2 million from six suspects, in addition to arresting six more individuals on outstanding arrest warrants.

In a parallel effort, the PRO-6 conducted five operations against illegal gambling, resulting in the arrest of 22 individuals and the seizure of P1,707 in bet money.

Police operations also led to the recovery of seven firearms, with one additional firearm voluntarily surrendered to the police to preclude criminal charges.

Brigadier General Jack Wanky, the head of PRO-6, extended his congratulations to all operatives.

“Each day presents new challenges, yet we consistently excel, exceeding expectations and pushing our limits. Your dedication to excellence drives the success of PRO-6, propelling us towards greater achievements. In the New Philippines, the police aim for your safety,” said Wanky.

Furthermore, General Wanky has issued a call to other unit commanders and chiefs of police stations, urging them to redouble their efforts and enhance their campaigns against unregistered firearms, fugitives, and drug traffickers within their jurisdictions./PN
