ILOILO City – Suspected shabu valued at around P33,000 was recovered in a drug sting operation in Barangay Rizal Estanzuela, City Proper, a police report showed.
The suspected illegal drugs contained in 15 sachets were confiscated from John Russel Ypulong, a resident of Barangay Rizal Estanzuela.
Ypulong was caught after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P5,000 around 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Aside from the suspected shabu, a .38-caliber revolver was also seized from Ypulong.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 1.
He was facing charges for illegal possession of firearm and for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
