BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu valued at around P5 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Alijis, a police report showed.
Four hundred five grams of suspected illegal drugs were recovered from 25-year-old Ryan Benemile, 29-year-old Chris John Esmedia, 18-year-old Alberto Pastera Jr., and 19-year-old Wegene Bagcal, the report added.
The suspects were nabbed after they sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 around 3:45 a.m. on July 18.
When frisked, the suspects yielded P1,500 cash and a sling bag, police said.
They were detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 3, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
