ROXAS City – Suspected shabu estimated to be worth some P600,000 was recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Punta Tabuc, police said.

The suspected illegal drugs contained in 21 plastic sachets were confiscated from Barangay Punta Tabuc residents Elton Alvarez, 21, and Roy De Jose, 22, and 25-year-old Michael Fines of Barangay Tanque, according to Roxas City police head Superintendent Dante Tayco.

Alvarez, De Jose and Fines were caught after they sold suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P3,000 around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, added Tayco.

“They were placed under surveillance for several days after we obtained information from drug suspects we previously arrested,” the Roxas City police chief said.

Aside from the suspected drugs, a cellphone was also recovered from the suspects.

Akon ginapanawagan sa mga tulak sang droga nga wala pa nagauntat, every dog will have his day. Malab-ot gid gyapon kamo sang aton mga otoridad,” Tayco warned.

Alvarez, De Jose and Fines were detained at the Roxas City police station lockup facility.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of2002, will be filed against them./PN
