Shaina Magdayao denies network transfer rumors

SHAINA Magdayao denied rumors that she is planning to transfer to another network.

Speaking to reporters after the press conference of “Past, Present, Perfect” on Tuesday, Magdayao categorically said she is still a Kapamilya.

“I am a Kapamilya. I am here in ABS. We are all here in ABS. We just finished doing another project for ABS, which is ‘Past, Present, Perfect.’ Sa buong karera ko, sa buong pinagdaanan ko, hindi naman natin maaalis na magpapasalamat ako, number one, sa ABS dahil dito na ako lumaki but, number two, also sa kabilang istasyon dahil doon ako nagsimula,” she said referring to ABS-CBN’s rival network, GMA.

When asked if she will even consider it if she gets an offer to transfer, Magdayao said: “Kung may offer man, malalaman niyo naman eh. But right now, I’m here in ABS in front of you. Walang galaw na nangyayari. Ang galaw ay ang pag-uwi.”

As to renewing her deal with her current home network, Magdayao said it hasn’t happened yet only because she’s been too busy with work recently.

With everything that’s going on, Magdayao said she’s only grateful that a lot of projects keep coming her way.

“I’ve been telling myself na pahinga muna pero habang nagpapahinga ako, may nangyayaring ganito. Napaka-generous talaga ng Panginoon when it comes to blessing me and my career,” she said.

As for her next project, Magdayao said: “After ‘Past, Present, Perfect,’ let’s see if may susunod sa iWant. May sinasabi sila sa akin pero dahil kakauwi ko pa lang, hindi ko alam if tuloy.”

In “Past, Present, Perfect,” Magdayao plays the older version of Shantal, a writer who is facing a major roadblock in her career. She looks to her past – including her first love and heartbreak – to move forward in her present life.

The digital series also stars Loisa Andalio and Vin Abrenica, among others. Directed by Dwein Baltazar, “Past, Present, Perfect” remains available for streaming on iWant. (ABS-CBN News)
