NOVEMBER 6, 2022 marked the 33rd birthday of actress Shaina Magdayao. She admitted that her original plans to celebrate the day did not happen.
“Planned to go to #Paradise for my annual #birthday escape …but as always, life has a different plan,” said Shaina in her Instagram post.
Instead of relaxing and lounging around, she was hard at work instead.
“First time ever to work instead of taking a birthday leave,” she said. “But I’m definitely not complaining ….because I still have been waking up in #Paradise for the past few days!”
There are definitely no regrets on Shaina’s end. Instead, she is grateful and considers the work she is doing as a gift.
“Day 6 as Maria Manalo here in #CEBU for some unexpected work that I consider HIS early birthday gift,” she shared.
It has been three months since the end of ABS-CBN’s “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”, of which Shaina had been a part of for two years as Major Roxanne Opeña. It was a project that she felt blessed to be part of, especially as it came during such difficult times.
“During the pandemic, when the rest of the world was going through so much ‘lack’, YOU have handpicked each and every person behind this show and you have blessed us with ‘abundance’ — opportunities to earn through this job we all love to do, use our God given talents to express ourselves and serve our mother network ABS-CBN and the Filipino viewers,” she thanked God.
Yet another big opportunity has come Shaina’s way. In her 25 years in the industry, she admitted there is still much for her to do.
“I’m definitely sure in the next two years madami pang collaborations with our good actors and directors,” she predicted.
True enough, she is once again hard at work, this time as part of her first international series, “Almost Paradise”. While it wasn’t the birthday she expected, to have the chance to be part of an international project was something that Shaina was definitely excited about.
“Can’t wait to tell you more about my surreal and awesome… first time experience to work for an international series.. SOON,” she promised. “Sooo grateful for His birthday surprise.”
“Almost Paradise” is an American-Filipino crime drama television series produced by Dean Devlin and Gary Rosen. The entire series was shot in the Philippines. According to the social media posts of its lead actor Christian Kane, they are currently busy filming their second season in Cebu.
Even with all the work, it was still a happy birthday for Shaina. (PUSH)
