Sharlene San Pedro reacts to Alexa Ilacad’s ‘bullying’ claims

PERHAPS the saddest part about what happened between Sharlene San Pedro and fellow “Goin’ Bulilit” alumni Alexa Ilacad is that, by now, it appears reconciling is beyond reach.

That’s according to Sharlene, who said in an interview this week she was shocked to have learned that Ilacad is claiming to have been bullied by her.

Ang hirap kasi ang ginamit niyang term is bullying,” she said, adding that she would never knowingly bully someone because she has a brother who had been a victim in school.

She also said she was surprised that Ilacad, whom she was really close with before, felt that she betrayed their friendship.

Para po sa akin, if she really thought we were friends [ay] sana lumapit siya sa akin, sana cinlear niya po sa akin,” she explained, recalling the time Ilacad was at odds with Nash Aguas.

It was Ilacad who claimed that Aguas and San Pedro, along with their other “Goin’ Bulilit” co-stars such Jairus Aquino, ganged up on her during that time. She said she decided to open up about it now because she wants the “grilling” to stop once and for all.

In her interview Friday, San Pedro acknowledged that while she did find herself closer with Aguas than with Ilacad following what happened between the two, she said she made an attempt to reach out to the latter to apologize for any misunderstanding.

“I approached her many times, kung bibilangan, tatlong beses ko siyang in-approach pero di pa siya ready to make amends,” San Pedro said.

She explained that she did not pry initially into Ilacad’s side of the story because she was being respectful toward her friend, whom she wanted to open up about it.

This is not the first time Ilacad found herself in the spotlight about her relationship with her “Goin’ Bulilit co-stars. Last month, she said she was hurt by Aguas’ message for his girlfriend, Mika dela Cruz, who was also part of the show. (ABS-CBN
