SHARON Cuneta on Tuesday recalled her kissing scene with former onscreen partner Christopher de Leon for the 1985 romance movie “Kailan Sasabihing Mahal Kita.”
In an Instagram post, the Megastar revealed that the kiss didn’t make it to the final cut of the movie, after it made her “then-hubby” Gabby Concepcion “so upset, that I had to beg Viva to cut it just before [Christopher] and my lips touched.”
“Balita ko nainis si Boyet after he’d watched the movie. Professionals nga naman kami,” said Sharon, referring to Christopher, who had been her “crush” even before she entered show business.
“Kaya nung finally na-kiss niya ako sa “Madrasta,” sabi niya after the scene, ‘Patingin nga (ng monitor)! Thirteen years ko hinintay ang lintek na ‘yan!’ Hahahaha!” she added.
According to Sharon, she had just given birth to her first daughter, actress and jewelry designer KC Concepcion, when she shot “Kailan.”
“I was nineteen!” she recalled.
“Ang ganda-ganda ng movie na ito! Kasama ko pa si original crush (Bago pa ako nagsimula kumanta crush ko na siya)! At Cebuana nga pala ako dito. Nagbibisaya ng konti lang. And it was directed by the great Eddie Garcia. Also starred me with my Cherie Gil and some of the best actors of their generation. Theme song written by George Canseco, sung by yours truly,” she said.
“Only the very best of everything from Viva. I am beyond grateful. God has been so good to me. (At ampogi ni Christopher talaga maryosep!)” she added. (Push)
