BACOLOD City – Police were still trying to identify the suspects in a shooting at a wake in Barangay 2.
Radito Bolneo, 30, of Barangay 29 died. He sustained gunshot wounds on the left and right chest.
He was taken to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital. Dr. Alamil Tambanillo pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
The 64-year-old Rosemarie Seva of Barangay 3 was hit by a stray bullet on the hip. She was being treated in the same hospital as of this writing.
Bolneo was playing a card game at the wake of Ramil Saldoa when attacked, police investigation showed.
There were three suspects – one approached and fired at Bolneo at close range while the other two were on board a black Honda Wave motorcycle that the gunman used to escape – police said.
The gunman used a .45 pistol. A spent cartridge and a slug were recovered from the crime scene.
The suspects fled south via San Juan Street, police said./PN
