ILOILO City – Police arrested a man in a shooting incident in Barangay Our Lady of Lourdes, Jaro district.
He was 56-year-old resident Jimmy Yudelmo, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Yudelmo shot the 43-year-old resident Rodolfo Mahinay around 8:35 p.m. on Aug. 23.
Mahinay sustained a gunshot wound on the stomach, police said.
He was brought to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro district for treatment.
The motive in the shooting was not immediately established.
Yudelmo, meanwhile, was detained in the Jaro police station’s lockup facility, facing charges./PN
