ANTIQUE – A barangay kagawad in Purok 1, Barangay District 3, Sibalom, Antique was nabbed in an antidrug operation.
Suspect Duane Sermeno, 52, was arrested on Sunday, March 12, by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Antique, Sibalom Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Antique Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
Four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, weighing more or less two grams with an estimated market value of P13,600, were recovered, according to Sibalom MPS chief Police Major Renato Monreal II.
Sermeno is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
