ILOILO – Two brothers were tagged as suspects in the death of their cousin in the municipality of Sara.
Yesterday afternoon, Dec. 7, a complaint for murder was filed against Claudio Sagaya, 55, and Edgardo Sagaya, 62.
The victim was 55-year-old Leonilo Allador of Barangay San Luis, Sara.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Norlan Perante, the Sagayas and Allador had a drinking binge at Claudio’s house in Barangay San Luis but past 11 p.m. on Dec. 6 an argument about a certain property ensued.
Allador was stabbed allegedly by Claudio, and Edgardo helped his younger brother dispose their cousin’s body.
Police said a witness came forward. The suspects initially denied committing the crime but later confessed.
The Sagayas were arrested and detained at the Sara police station./PN
