GUIMARAS – A robbery suspect in Sibunag town was arrested in Barangay Dasal, Jordan.
Edcel Roquero, 26, was a resident of Barangay San Miguel, Jordan. He was taken to the Sibunag municipal police station.
The warrant for his arrest (Criminal Case No. 22-3610 for robbery) was issued by Presiding Judge Rosario Abigail M. Dris-Villanueva of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 65, on June 20, 2022.
It was unclear as of this writing if Roquero was able to post bail that the court set at P48,000.
“The police operation (to arrest Roquero) is a proof that the Sibunag police is doing its best to keep peace and order. It is seriously performing its mandate…without compromising health protocols implementing the new normal,” a statement from the Sibunag police station read./PN
