GUIMARAS – A new chief of the Sibunag Municipal Police Station in this island province has been formally installed.

Police Captain Luisito P. Baremque assumed the position during a turnover of command at the Sibunag Municipal Building on Thursday, March 2.

Baremque replaced Police Captain Val A. Cambel, who was assigned to the Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO).

Lieutenant Colonel Orly Z. Gabinete, GPPO deputy provincial director for administration, presided over the ceremony on behalf of GPPO provincial director Police Colonel Richard B. Baluos.

Gabinete expressed gratitude for Cambel’s efforts and the gains achieved by the Sibunag municipal police.

“I am confident that Baremque, with his long experience in the PNP, particularly in the field of investigation, could adequately supervise his men and effectively perform his duty in the promotion of peace and order, safety and general welfare of the people in this municipality,” Gabinete said.

Also present at the ceremony were Mayor Annabelle Vilches-Samaniego, Vice Mayor Reynaldo Segovia, and Sangguniang Bayan members of Sibunag./PN
