ILOILO – Northern Iloilo’s Sicogon Island airport is now open to direct commercial flights.
Starting today, Dec. 16, AirSWIFT Airlines offers direct air travel to Ayala Land’s newest tourism venture, Sicogon Island Tourism Estate.
Travel conveniently every Mondays and Fridays from Manila to Sicogon Island with estimated time of departure at 5:55 a.m., and from Sicogon Island to Manila departing at 8:00 a.m.
At present, a two-storey, 52-key modern contemporary boutique resort called “Huni Sicogon” operates within the island and will soon have additional accommodation options such as daytrip cottages and beachfront hostel.
Prior to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, navigation to Huni Sicogon was mainly by land and sea. Tourists may take a bus or a van to the town of Estancia, Iloilo. From the town’s seaport, one will ride a motorboat to the island.
