BACOLOD City – A farmer last seen alive searching for his missing carabao was found dead at the Imbang River in Barangay Bagtic, Silay City, Negros Occidental past 6 p.m. on Friday.
Superintendent Willy Diel, Silay City police chief, said Leonardo Atienza was a resident of Hacienda Magdalena, Barangay Katilingban, Talisay City.
Diel’s body bore hack and stab wounds.
According to Diel’s daughter Michelle Atienza, her father went looking for his carabao around 1 p.m. and failed to return home.
As of this writing, no one was named a suspect in Diel’s death./PN
