BACOLOD City – Two of the most wanted persons in Negros Occidental’s Silay City were arrested in separate police operations.

They were 45-year-old Vicente Parreño and 48-year-old Ramie Bayona, police said.

Parreño, listed as the No. 7 most wanted person, was caught at around 11:20 a.m. yesterday in Hacienda Fipa in the city’s Barangay E. Lopez through the strength of an arrest warrant for the crime of statutory rape issued by Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio of Regional Trial Court, Branch 40 (Silay City).

Later at 12:55 p.m., police nabbed Bayona at Sitio Hiyang-hiyang, Barangay Patag. He was listed as the fourth most wanted person, facing six counts of rape charges.

The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the Silay Component City Police Station.

The court recommended no bail bond for Parreño and P120,000 each case for the temporary liberty of Bayona./PN
