Silay cops nab 3 in drug sting; another arrested in Manapla

BACOLOD City – In coordinated police actions targeting street-level drug trafficking, three individuals were arrested in Silay City, Negros Occidental while another was detained in Manapla town.

On the evening of July 1, the Silay City police force carried out a buy-bust operation in Barangay Rizal, leading to the arrest of suspects Rex Majaducon, 49; Hadji Roces, 29; and Dominic Pesayco, 23.

All residents of the same barangay, the suspects were found in possession of 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, alongside other drug paraphernalia.

The seized illegal drugs weighed approximately 14 grams and were valued at P95,200.

Majaducon was the main subject of the operation, while Roces and Pesayco allegedly served as runner and spotter, respectively.

The trio, believed to be sourcing their narcotics from Bacolod City, is now in police custody, facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In a related incident early the next day, July 2, a 40-year-old man was arrested in a drug buy-bust at Hacienda Nahulog, Barangay 1-A, Manapla.

The suspect, identified as Azel Jalando-on from Sitio Kasantolan, was apprehended with eight plastic sachets of suspected shabu, weighing 2.5 grams and estimated to be worth P17,000.

Jalando-on is currently detained at Manapla municipal police station, also facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
