Silay drug sting nets P1.1-M ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu valued at around P1.1 million was seized in a drug sting operation in Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

The 25-year-old Hero Pangilinan, 44-year-old Michelle Baradia and 21-year-old John Stephen Soria yielded the suspected illegal drugs, police said. They were all residents of Barangay Pembo, Makati City, Metro Manila, the police added.

According to police investigations, the suspects were nabbed after they sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P12,500 around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Aside from suspected shabu, suspected dried marijuana leaves valued at around P50,000 were also seized. Police also impounded the suspects’ Hyundai Reina.

Detained in the in the lockup cell of the Silay City police station, the suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
